The news is that Bush has made a secret trip to Iraq today. Of course he is not wandering off the secure airfield in Anbar Province. His aides claim he has no time. I want to see Bush strolling through some Anbar neighborhood, or going to get a sandwich in some Baghdad neighborhood. It will never happen. Yet if Bush is right in saying that there has been "progress" because of the surge, there should be no problem in safely taking a walk somewhere in Iraq.
