PRES. OBAMA, RESIST NETANYAHU'S PUSH TO BOMB IRAN

Pres. Obama, I support your reelection and I contribute to your campaign.

In return, I do ask that you not let that bully Benjamin Netanyahu throw his weight around regarding the policy of the United States towards Iran.

David Sanger and Isabel Kershner write in today's The New York Times online.

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel inserted himself into the most contentious foreign policy issue of the American presidential campaign on Tuesday, criticizing the Obama administration for refusing to set clear “red lines” on Iran’s nuclear progress that would prompt the United States to undertake a military strike. As a result, he said, the administration had no “moral right” to restrain Israel from taking military action of its own.

"Mr. Netanyahu’s unusually harsh public comments about Israel’s most important ally, which closely track what he has reportedly said in vivid terms to American officials visiting Jerusalem, laid bare the tension between him and President Obama over how to handle Iran. They also suggested that Mr. Netanyahu is willing to use the pressure of the presidential election to force Mr. Obama to commit to attack Iran under certain conditions. "

We all know that Bibi is angling for a American military strike against Iran.  That means untold death and destruction.

I am tired of U.S. wars in Islamic countries or anywhere else.  Pres. Obama, continue to resist that warmonger, Netanyahu.

NETANYAHU BLAIMES IRAN FOR BULGARIA BOMBING. WHERE IS THE EVIDENCE?

Israel's prime minister Netanyahu says that Iran is behind the bombing of a bus of Israeli tourists in Bulgaria.  How he knows this is a mystery;  he has not produced any evidence.

It is unfair to blame Iran unless there is clear and convincing evidence.  So far, there is none.

Perhaps Bibi just wants to take the spotlight off his approval of more settlements in the occupied West Bank.  Under international law, if one country, Israel, seizes land from another, Palestine, through a military conflict, the victor, Israel, must give it back.  The war occurred in 1967.  So far Israel refuses to give it back.

Israel is flouting this principle of international law, figuring that it can get away with it.  Iran happens to be an easy diversion.

STOP THE MARCH TO WAR AGAINST IRAN!

Israel again is clamoring for a strike against Iran.  Pres. Obama must resist these militaristic solutions to Iran's nuclear development.  So far there is no evidence that Iran wants or intends to make nuclear weapons.  Everything is innuendo:  Iran "might" have the capability to develop nuclear weapons, signs point to Iran's "desire" for nuclear weapons, Iranian agents are "suspected" in bombings of autos in Georgia and India, but so far not one shred of hard evidence.  Nevertheless there are some who would like nothing better than to drop bombs on Iran.

Imagine the death toll of Iranians in the case of an attack by Israel.  And imagine the lasting damage to world peace by going along with the present Israeli government in an attack against Iran.  There would be catastrophic conflict for the next 500 years.
