COURT OF APPEALS REJECTS SCOOTER LIBBY'S PLEA TO STAY OUT OF JAIL

Cary O'Reilly of Bloomberg is reporting that Scooter Libby has lost his case with the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to stay out of jail during his appeal of his conviction for lying, perjury and obstructing justice in the matter of Valerie Plame Wilson, ex-agent of the CIA.

"Libby may be behind bars within weeks under the decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, which denied his request for release during his appeal. The decision will increase pressure on President George W. Bush to decide soon whether to pardon Libby, 56, as the former White House official's supporters have urged."
